I'm absolutely bushed, and completely out, after a very long day of shooting which started at 6am and ended only at 2 before I headed off for home from Sheares Bridge after doing the fireworks.
Nonetheless, it's been very fun, shooting fireworks once again, coming full-circle to photographing what I'd originally started out with anyway. Even if most of the shots were destroyed, it was still good fun all the same :).
And it was quite an experience, being out on the streets past the witching hour, seeing all the shops and public amenities closed, etc, while the streets remained packed as ever; there was an eclectic mix of peoples hanging about the streets, peoples of all kinds, peoples of much weirder kinds than you'd see in daylight, haha. Maybe it's the lack of sunlight. Oh well. Haha.
Anyway, there was quite a number of foreign workers, students, etc, milling about at River Hongbao at Marina Promenade--they were mostly people in Singapore, away from their hometowns, seperated from their families, I suppose--and I will become such an alien too, two years from now, on Chinese New Years, Christmases, etc etc, et al. The price to pay for experiencing a new life. Oh well.
Anyhow, my eyes are hardly holding fort already; it's time for bed; I'll go through the fireworks photos when I feel like it. ;).
