It's been one hell of a crazy week; despite having not left the Choa Chu Kang area and not having been home for the whole week, the week's zoomed by in a flash, amidst a flurry of nonstop work, late nights, frazzled nerves and other psychological and mental instabilities associated with the patronising of the limits of human sanity.
In short, it's been a crazy week.
(And it's not over yet; just feel an urge to post here, to say something, before the madness gets to me; just 8, 9 more hours before I get to go home, hopefully. Hopefully my father doesn't get too mad when he sees my GPRS bill for this month.)
Last night was the craziest of them all, as I pushed the limits of the speakers of my laptop, blasted old songs like Bryan Adams' Have You Ever Loved a Woman and Robbie Williams' Angel, and sang along at full blast as I rushed through my work in the dead of the night, long after everyone else in my platoon had gone to bed; as the night grew on, the adrenaline rush just kept growing as I pushed on.
Granted, it wasn't very late by my standards; eventually, I slept at 1am-- but, by most standards, that's already quite late since I'm normally asleep by 10pm in camp, and since I have to wake up at half-past five.
Last night was crazy too, as I discovered my old emails lying around on my laptop, and started reading through some of them, reliving good old days in a burst of indulgent nostalgia.
But, nostalgia, like everything else, can be hazardous to mental health and addictive in excessively large doses. It's no different from drugs. Haha.
So there; after a short break, it's time to head back to my work.
Good day.
