It's interesting how the socks you wear can affect how you feel; at least it did for me, today.
For a change, I ditched my thin socks and opted for a pair of very thick ones as I went walking around; it sure felt great, feeling the warmth in my feet as the cold airconditioning blew around me, the cushioning of my soles as I walked about today.
I've been walking around a lot the past few days; walking to Lot 1 at Choa Chu Kang from camp to save on an 80-cent MRT ride, walking around Bras Basah getting work done, walking home from the MRT station to save $$$, walking the long 500 metres or so from the block in camp I stay in to the gate the 4 times I've booked out this week.
It's been tiring on my feet.
Nothing much has been happening of late, with everyone else around me busy with their own lives, with the heavy workload university, with examinations, with coming A Levels and all.
Things have been quiet; life has been, lonely in isolation.
I'm starting to give up looking for things to do, people to meet up with on weekends already; no wonder my classmate said, "all NSmen are desperate"; in one way or another, I guess we all are-- with weekends so short, such a precious getaway from a life we all don't want to lead, there's a crazy, mad rush to meet other people, to do things we won't get to do during the week, to unwind, and all.
But, I think the people around me will soon get sick of my incessant pestering them to go there, do that, etc; even if they don't, I'll just get sick of asking very soon. Besides, don't you think it's boring just jostling for space in the crowded mall belts downtown for a meal, and then jostling for seats in a cinema only to be deafened by loud sounds?
Then again, who'd be so bored as to find walking around for kilometres, waiting for hours, for that perfect shot, that picture-perfect postcard shot of a place, lugging tons of equipment, interesting?
If you do, tell me.
Of course, if you've taken the hint, ask me out!!!. Haha.
Ignore me; I'm just ranting, once again. Life is boring. I just wish I had more energy, more time, more money to go shoot lots more pictures. And say hi to my new 50mm/f1.8 prime lens too (and goodbye to $135). Haha.
At least that's something done this weekend.
