Life

At long last, here's a new layout! It's been nearly 6 months since the last layout; finally I've found inspiration for a new photo-based layout. This shot is of the corridor on the second floor of B Block in Chinese High, taken on my last trip back some two weeks ago or so on my EOS66.

Comments on the layout?

Anyhow, since Gerald asked me how come I haven't posted for so long, I shall say something.

The past few days have been good, and bad, in sort of the same ways. My sleep in camp has improved considerably; I'm waking up at unearthly hours in the middle of my sleep less often, sleeping right through the night until my body clock wakes me up automatically after 6 hours of sleep (which explains the 4-am SMS you people might have been receiving ;>); but generally, sleep has been, better than before.

Yet, my dreams have been frightfully real again, so much so that I'm torn between reality and my dream-like state of semi-consciousness, in which I AM in the dream, and I CAN consciously control my actions as though I were really in my dream.

Just two nights ago, I was taking a ride on the MRT; as the train neared the station, instead of slowing down to perpare to stop, the train accelerated, and dashed headlong towards the station. I had even been anticipating that something was wrong with the train, and I'd started moving backwards. In no time at all, the train smashed right through the station (somehow there was a wall at the end of the track), amidst my cries to the people around me to move backwards. It was an unnerving feeling, as I felt the ground give way below me, before I woke up with a rude jolt, glad, and relieved, that I was lying in bed, and not plunging down the elevated MRT track.

Terrifying.
