Life

At last, the two-day radio exercise that proved to be quite a farce is over-- two days of fiddling with radio sets, talking on illegal frequencies without having to observe voice procedure, waiting for straying radio stations and jammed radio nets with silly people shouting "WAIT OUT! WAIT OUT! THE NET IS JAMMED I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" haha.

Ah. It's been a fun two days of reliving the good old days when I was a trainee at the Signals Institute more than three months ago, and a fun two days of being away from the mundane-ness of fixing silly people's silly computer problems and doing silly paperwork.

It's been fun, even with walking all over every nook and cranny of the camp with a 30kg load on my 50kg frame, and sitting and proning in drains with a radio set on my back.

Yeah. Sometimes, we just have to get away from the monotony of everyday life, to do out of the ordinary things, to refresh and rejuvenate ourselves, to re-energise ourselves.

---

The weather's been nicely hot, the skies nicely cloudless and a blazingly scorching deep blue, the warm afternoon winds gently soothing-- a nice change from the dark, gloomy, stormy weather of the past few weeks. This is the kind of weather that gives beautiful sunsets, great beach trips, and all.

Tis time for nice things to happen, perhaps?
