It's been a long week, and a very quiet month; I've hardly written in here at all in this time, and my diary entries have been shrinking in length. My life is drying up, and everything seems to have taken a vacation.

It's been a busy month, hectic with hoardes of physical activity, loads of other work, all completely irrelevant, utterly boring, and downright uninteresting, and too unchallenging. So, life has been busy, but boring.

That's NS life, I guess.

I've been busy, busy getting myself bored, at mindless things like giving out "I'm Cool, Singapore's OK" stickers at the National Day Parade preview, saying "You're welcome" to every thank-you received more out of boredom than out of courtesy, coming up with stupid answers like "What's this? [some people referring to the stickers] / Oh it's a biscuit." and "Where do I stick this? / On your forehead. DUH.".

So you see, I've been wasting all my time, and energy, getting bored. How interesting can life get?

I'm not complaining, really; I'm just stating some facts.

So even though I've been doing nothing challenging and interesting, it's been so exhausting that I've hardly had time for anything else, like improving my photography and writing about Singapore's unemployment, the two simple things I've set out to do.

And even when I finally got off yesterday, I was too late to get any good shots of the fireworks; out of excessive excitement, I shook my father's ancient SLR too much, destroying most of the 25 shots I got in like, what, 2 minutes? Haha. And the lens conked up and the aperture ring failed on me again.

So it was quite disappointing and frustrating.

One of the things I hate most is to stand in front of fireworks, hear them go off, feel the explosions pulsating inside of you, feel your heart race, and have no camera, or have your camera screw up. Grr.

But, the bottomline is still, that life, is getting intolerably boring, quiet, and uninteresting. My life is getting so boring, that even traffic to this, and comments, have all but dried up. Haha. What a great testimony to my lousy predicament right now.

The sound of silence is overpowering, sometimes.
