We were baked alive today, trapped in our bunks for 7 hours because we couldn't book out before office hours were over; how silly: bureacracy at its best.
A news report on television reported that the onset of the South-east monsoon season would bring us dry spells for the next 2 months. While I don't relish the heat exactly, it is, nonetheless, one of my favourite times of the year again.
For one, the southeast monsoon brings winds, even if warm ones, into my room, right through my south-facing windows; not only is the gentle caress of the breeze comfortable, the gentle song of the windchimes hanging by my window bring back beautiful memories from the past, while calming my soul.
For another, the amazing heat brings clear, cloudless blue skies and bright sunny days; it's perfect weather for the beach once again, the bright sunlight heralding the happiness of the summer season.
And, of course, together with the dry weather and clear blue skies come beautiful, majestic, grand sunsets, as the sun shows her magic, her bright rays cutting through the atmosphere, painting the skies in purple, orange, and pink, bringing out beauty in nature at its best.
Ah. The beauty of this time of the year. :)
